The first step is to remove all the parts mentioned above from the storage bag and stand up the frame. Choose the right location for your pop up gazebo and start expanding all the legs.

You’ll also need to wiggle each leg in order to make sure that the frame has an even weight distribution.

It’ll partially open the frame and you’ll need to repeat the process for all the legs until the frame opens about 25 per cent.

  • Step 2: Place the Canopy

Once you have partially opened the frame, place the fabric canopy over the frame. You’ll need to align the frame corners with the canopy so that it can expand along with the frame easily in the later steps.

  • Step 3: Expand the Frame

The next step is to expand the entire structure by stretching the frame outwards. Once the frame is extended horizontally, you’ll then want to extend the legs upwards to achieve the height.

It’ll allow the gazebo to reach its full size and then you’ll need to use the interlocking system to make sure the structure remains in place.

  • Step 4: Attach Side Walls

Now your gazebo will be fully erect and you’ll need to attach the sidewalls and mosquito netting to give it some finishing touches. You’ll most probably have loops or Velcro straps for a secure connection.

If your sidewalls also come with additional windows then you’ll need to position them according to your preferences.

  • Step 5: Secure Your Pop Up Gazebo

If your gazebo got wet because of rain then you’ll need to wait until it gets completely dried. If It’s not possible for some reason, then make sure that you let it dry before storing it.

You’ll also need to take down your pop up gazebo after the party or event and you can use the following steps to achieve that.

The first step to tear down your pop up gazebo is to remove the weights or anchors that you used to secure the frame.

  1. Remove the windows, sidewalls, and mosquito netting carefully.
  2. Lower the height of each leg to reach the canopy and clean it if there’s any dirt or leaves.
  3. Release the locks that you used to secure the canopy with the frame and detach it carefully.
  4. Now unlock the extendable frame and close it by taking turns on each side and folding the frame.
  5. Now you’ll need to use the storage bag to place all the parts inside.

While working with most pop up gazebos you’ll need to remove the canopy before storing all the parts in your storage bag.

However, there are some specially designed products out there that allow you to store the canopy attached to the frame.

If you have such a model you won’t need to perform the third step mentioned above and move on to the next part of the process.

There mustn’t be any sand or dirt and as mentioned before, you’ll need to make sure that everything is properly dry.

If you own a pop-up gazebo that didn’t come with a storage bag, then consider buying a high denier heavy-duty bag. It’ll keep your gazebo protected and dry.
